As all of my regular readers of Mellow Mummy know, I love to cook. Usually on the blog you see the results of my cooking exploits with Lara, my two-year-old, but more often I'm cooking alone in my own freestyle world. Mr. B. also likes to cook the occasional masterpiece (he is in charge of dinner parties). As a family who spend a lot of time cooking and eating great food, we also like to treat ourselves to a wide range of kitchenwares and tablewares such as the Brabantia Get Together range.

I was immediately drawn to the fabric bread baskets which made me want to set to and start baking straight away. I am convinced that my freshly-baked muffins tasted all the more homely for having been served warm in their snug little bread basket! These come in a number of different sizes and make a fascinating centre-piece when filled with rolls or cakes from which visitors may help themselves.
Mr. B's favourite items from the Brabantia Get Together range are the textiles. The range features blacks, greys and a burgundy colour. From the very moment we opened the box of Brabantia products, Mr. B 'bagsied' the smart looking kitchen apron which, in its almost-combat style, looks just as good on him as it does on me. We've also tried a couple of the single-hand oven gloves which are well-tailored across the end of the hands and take a little getting used to.
My absolute favourite items from the Brabantia Get Together range are their serving dishes which come in a range of ceramic colours (including a very striking plain white) but the stars of the entire Get Together range are the brushed stainless steel serving bowls. It is hard to describe how a single bowl can make such a difference to my already-overflowing kitchen cupboards but this one really does! Since my stunning chrome-effect bowl arrived in my life I have used it for food preparation with Lara, for melting chocolate, serving salad, soup and fruit salad. It is so versatile and yet so... me. I need more of these bowls!
