Sea-band Review and Giveaway

I'd known about Sea-bands for a long time (ever since I started blogging, in fact!) and had won some in a competition that I had stashed away in a cupboard for the day I might need them. In June last year that day came... when I first fell pregnant with my rogue (eventually miscarried) pregnancy, I lifted out my Seabands to see whether they were up to the job of warding off the most awful morning sickness.

You will know from my Sterimar exploits that I am someone who would always prefer to find a natural remedy to a medical one and so, when presented with morning sickness I put on my Sea-bands and yes, they really did help. Sea-bands work by applying pressure to the pressure points on your wrists... the longer you wear them, the more effective they are. I found the Sea-bands to be very tight and after wearing them for a long time I would begin to feel uncomfortable but there is no doubt that when I had them on, the nausea was far more bearable. During my second pregnancy of 2011 (the one I'm now well in to!) I didn't suffer any sickness so didn't need to call on the Sea-bands.

Sea-bands come in both adult and children's sizes. They have been clinically tested - acupressure is a recognised way of reducing nausea for travel sickness, post-operative sickness and also for morning sickness.

I have 5 pairs of Sea-bands to give away to Mellow Mummy readers (3 adult, 2 children). All you have to do to be in with a chance of winning is to leave me a comment below to tell me which you would prefer to win (adult or child) by the 23rd January.

You can follow Seabands on facebook and twitter.
