Children's Book Review:: The Curious Tale of Fi-Rex

Fi-Rex is part girl, part-dinosaur - any book with a character like this is going to be a hit with small people!

To celebrate Children in Need, this fun story book has been launched with at least 12% of the purchase price of each book going to Pudsey's charity. This is no ordinary story book... oh no...

Every page of the story is written by a different celebrity.  The curious tale of Fi-Rex is particularly curious because it has been written a bit like a game of consequences.  Each celebrity writes one page which follows on from the other.  This means that the story is very random and has a slightly different style on each part of the story and yet it all comes together.

Celebrity authors such as Andy Murray, Sir Paul McCartney, Kylie Minogue, One Direction, Bear Grylls and Ronan Keating have all contributed a part to the story of Fi-Rex and her trip to the Land of Your Imagination.

The curious tale of Fi-Rex has fun illustrations from Julia Patton. Each page has something different for different tastes.  Lara always seeks out the page from One Direction but my favourite is Sir Paul McCartney's which is clearly a reference to The Frog Song and brings back great memories.

It is a fun book with a great charity behind it.
